The Best Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies

These chocolate chip cookies are soft, chewy, and packed with chocolate chips. A classic recipe that's always a crowd-pleaser!

  • 2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt I use pink himalayan salt but you can use regular table salt as well
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 3/4 c granulated suger
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar for 4 minutes.
  4. Add vanilla and eggs, beat until incorporated.
  5. Slowly add flour mixture until just combined.
  6. Mix in chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough and chill for 30 min-1 hour.
  8. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake for 10 minutes.
  9. Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.

Notes

Make sure butter is softened to room temperature for best results.
