Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in milk, stirring constantly until thickened. Add salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Stir in cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until melted. Add sour cream, then fold in the cooked macaroni.
- Pour the mixture into the baking dish. Sprinkle extra cheese on top. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
- Let cool briefly before serving.
Notes
For an extra crispy top, broil for the last few minutes of baking.
