Method
- Preheat oven to 350 °F. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Beat butter and sugar. Add vanilla and egg; beat to combine.
- Add flour in 3 parts until fully incorporated.
- Divide dough, roll to ¼-inch thickness, and cut out shapes.
- Bake at 350˚F for 10 minutes, or until edges turn golden.
- Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before rolling.
