Method
- Prep: Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets.
- Cream: Beat butter + sugars until fluffy.
- Wet Mix: Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Dry Mix: Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir into wet mix.
- Chips: Fold in chocolate. Save some for topping.
- Bake: Drop dough 2” apart. Bake 10-12 min until edges are golden.
- Cool: Let sit 5 min on pan. Devour warm or move to a rack.
Notes
For extra chewy cookies, use more brown sugar than granulated sugar.
