  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet or dark

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. Cream butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time with vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just blended.
  6. Gently fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden; let cool on wire racks before serving.

Notes

For extra chewy cookies, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
