Method
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla; mix until incorporated.
- Whisk dry ingredients; gradually add to wet ingredients until just combined.
- Divide dough, flatten, wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out dough and cut shapes.
- Bake for 8-12 minutes until lightly golden brown.
- Cool on baking sheets, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Decorate.
