Brownies
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.33 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
Frosting
  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8-inch square pan.
  2. Melt butter, stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread in pan.
  3. Bake until top is dry and edges pull away, about 25-30 minutes. Cool briefly.
  4. Combine frosting ingredients in a bowl. Stir until smooth. Frost brownies while warm.
